August Update!

Thanks to everyone who made Senior and Junior Music Camps 2007 super successes!

You raised over $450.00 for the Silokwethemba Project. This means 9 more orphans in Zimbabwe will have their school fees paid this year! Way to go!

We’ll be using this blog as the Internet home for Senior Music Camp, NL East division of the Salvation Army.

Keep watching this space guys, I know you’ve been checking in and thanks! We’re always tweaking Music Camp to make it better for you. We want to have somebody from every corps in the division this year so when you are chatting with your friends let them know how cool camp is and encourage them to come. You never know how you can impact lives!

We will be having an early Final Program this year 11:30 AM (Gate opens at 11:00) then we will are planning a picnic barbecue for lunch around 1:00 pm. Non campers will need to bring along a twoonie. Homeward bound at 1:30 pm.

February 2008

New for 2008 – Worship Stream

This third (after vocal and instrumental) stream will be available for those involved in, or interesting in leading worship. Open to acoustic, electric and bass guitar and keyboard players as well as percussionists/drummers and vocalists. Prior experience is not necessary however participants should be at an intermediate to advanced level with their instruments and vocalists will be expected to sing alone or in very small groups.
The worship stream program will include instruction in leading worship, playing as a group, and teaching in the principles of worship.

Watch this site for memories from camp and information on next year’s camps. Senior Camp will run from Saturday July 26 to Saturday August 2, 2008. Junior Camp dates TBA.
