Bandmaster William Thomasen Memorial Award

This award is presented to a deserving student in each band as selected by his/her Bandmaster. The selection is based on student’s ability, deportment and cooperation. It is given in recognition of exemplary conduct and attitude.

This award was placed in 1987 by Sea Captain Harry Thomasen in memory of his son, William, former Bandmaster of Grand Bank Corps.

This awards consists of an individual plaque for each winner.

The Tara Noseworthy Memorial Award is given in recognition of exemplary Christian leadership and conduct displayed, throughout the week, by an intermediate or junior camper. Both faculty and students choose the recipient of this award

This award was placed by Keith and Beverly Butler in Noseworthy of their daughter, Tara, who was very active in Youth Ministries at the St. John’s Citadel Corps.

Brian Butler Memorial Award

In the development of this award, it was the intention to consider the following:

· An award that would be open to all students
· An award that could avoid duplication, many deserving students who are overlooked.
· An award which may involve student input.

On the basis of the above considerations, the award is presented to the student who, in the opinion of the student body and faculty, displays a Christ-like personality during the week at Camp. He/she is friendly, warm, pleasant, enthusiastic, gets along well with campers, and contributes to the life of the camp.

The award consists of a keeper’s plaque and a trophy to be placed at the winner’s home Corps for one year.

This award was placed in 1988 by Neville and Fronie Butler in memory of their son, Brian, former Bandsman and Songster of the St. John’s Temple Corps.
